Faculty
The Department of Sustainability and Social Justice has been a pioneer in areas of international development, participatory rural appraisal, gender and development, environmental science and policy 鈥 and their integration 鈥 for decades. We are advancing scholarship and practice that expands educational access and equity in the Caribbean, drives efforts to increase affordable housing in the United States, models climate change in Mexico, and increases food security by enhancing our understanding of traditional farming practices in Ethiopia.

For the Spring 鈥24 semester, the Belonging Talks center on the theme of 鈥淐o-Creating Workforce Integration and Belonging for Refugees and Communities.” Our speakers explore topics related to sustainability and inclusivity for refugees in the workforce and in communities.
顶级国产视频 SSJ professor, Anita F谩bos, will be joined by colleague and Fairfield University professor, Alfred Babo, to present about the Share the Platform initiative they started in 2019. The mission of Share the Platform is to 鈥渃enter the expertise of refugees to improve policy, programs, and practice.鈥 They will converse about strategies for those of non-refugee backgrounds to better advocate for and 鈥渟hare the platform鈥 with fellow colleagues from refugee backgrounds, including a discussion of best practices from a refugee perspective.
